1) Shraddhaana of Father
At the shraddha ritual of Natha’s father, Brahmins were waiting at the door of Nath. Girijabai cooked the delicious food. The three-four passerby Harijans smelled the taste of the delicious cooking. They discussed that they would be incredibly happy if they got this food. Nath listened to this discussion. The idea came to Nath that the food should be given to the Harijans. He asked Girijabai to distribute the food to these people. The Paithanastha Brahmins came to know that Nath had offered the shraddhabhojan to Harijanas. Thus, they decided not to take the Shraddhabhojan at Nath. By that time, Girijabai, by being shuchirbhut (pure) cooked the Shraddhabhojan again. Still Brahmins decided not take this food. Shraddha must be completed within the scheduled time. When they were refusing to come, Nath invited Pitratayi Brhama, Vishnu and Mahesh and offered food to the pitras and completed his Shradhakarya.
2) One Nath at two places
A Harijan householder named Ranu lived in Paithana. He and his wife used to come to discourses of Nath. Their conduct/behavior was pure. They had great faith in Nath. Once Ranu wished to invite and offer food to Nath at his home. He invited and Nath accepted the invitation. At every corner of Paithan everyone was discussing about whether Nath would take food at Harijan or not. On the specified day, Nath came out of his home. Few were tracing the Nath at different places. Nath reached the house of Ranu. Both, Ranu and his wife, worshiped Nath with full devotion Nath sat down to eat. Miracle happened, at the same time Nath was taking food at Ranu and delivering a discourse at the Wada (Nathbunglow). Nath was one, time was same, but people found Nath at two places, thus, people started hailing him.
3) Many touchstones at Nath
There was a lender in Paithan. He had a touchstone ( Paris ) and he kept it very carefully. The moneylender wanted to go on a pilgrimage. But knowing that he would not be safe during the journey with touchstone, thus he assumed that it would be safe with the most selfless devotee like Nath. With this idea, he came to Nath. Nath was worshiping. The moneylender gave that touchstone to Nath and told that he would pick it up after the pilgrimage. Nath kept the touchstone below the Devhara. Many days later, the moneylender came to Natha to collect the touchstone and when he demanded it, Natha asked Uddhava to give him the touchstone. The touchstone was missing, Nath said it must have been offered to Godavari with the Nirmalya. After listening to this, the moneylender started blaming Nath. “I gave that touchstone to you, assuming that you are the most selfless person, but you have stolen it.” Nath took him to the Goadavari. He put his hand in the river and picked up a handful of stones and said, "Choose your touchstone from this." The lender removed the iron balls. He saw that every stone turned into gold when Nath touched the stone. Natha gave one of the touchstones to him and threw the rest in the Godavari. It is true that iron becomes gold when it comes in contact of touchstone, but it is special that the stone becomes a touchstone when Nath touches it.
4) Plates below the plates
Nath’s son was highly intelligent. But he disliked the narration of knowledge in Sanskrit by Nath in Prakrut language. As he disliked this, he left for Kashi. After few years, Nath convinced him and brought Haripandit back to Paithan. Haripandit started delivering discourses in place of Nath. The number of audiences started decreasing day by day. Knowing that people did not have faith in him as they have in Natha, his pride began to wane. But Natha wanted him to be completely humble. An old woman, when her husband was alive, resolved to invite and offer food to thousand Brahmins (Sahastra Brahman Bhojan). But she couldn’t do this because of certain reasons. Now she thought that she had to arrange for the Sahastra Brahman Bhojan. She listened a sentence in Nath’s discourse that if food is offered to one Brhamavetta, it will receive the virtue of (will be equal to) Sahastra Brahman Bhojan. She invited Nath only to have food at her. Nath asked Haripandit to go to the woman’s house and prepare the food. Haripandit cooked the food. He arranged the plate (patravali), of Nath and offered him food. Nath finished his lunch. Nath asked Haripandit to pick up the plate. Haripandit picked up the plate and came back. The miracle was that he saw other plate which was the same that he picked earlier. Then he picked this second, then third, and fourth like this Haripandit picked thousand plates. The old woman felt happy that she could do Sahastra Brahman Bhojan and Haripandit realized the greatness of his father. His ego was gone now. And henceforth, Haripandit became the righteous man who followed the Parmarthik behavior like Nath.
5) To make speak even the dumb
Gavoba was the son of Kulkarni of who used to stay near the bank of the Goda River. He loves Puranpoli, and used to ask daily for this to his mother. It was not possible for his mother to offer Puranpoli daily to him, thus, she sent him to Nath. Nath asked Girijabai, his wife, to look after Gavoba as she looks after Haripandit. Gavoba started getting Puranpoli daily. There, he started doing some sort of work. He was a kind of crazy (mad), still he used to sit in the kirtan and discourses of Nath. He even couldn’t recite Gayatrimantra. Nath guided him and was ready to give him the Mantra, Gavoba said to Nath “I will chant only the name of “Eknath” and will not recite any other Mantra.” Nath when reached the 44th chapter of the Bhavartha Ramayana, Nath
announced of his Samadhi. Audiences felt very bad. Shrikrishandas Lole, a Ramayananakarta, once came to Nath. At that time, he needed eleven days to finish Yuddhakanda. Nath extended his life for eleven days. As people knew about this, they requested Nath to complete this book before going. But Nath said, “Though I go, remaining Ramayana will be completed by Gaovaba.” People thought that Nath was simply joking and started laughing. But whatever Nath says it will be the reality. Nath put his hand on Gavoba’s head (blessed Gavoba) and what a miracle, Gavoba wrote the 45th chapter in front of Nath. After the death of Nath, the scripture was completed by Gavoba and no one can identify which part is written by Gavoba and which part is written by Nath. This is how Nath has blessed Gavoba
